I am very pleased to announce that the Kickstarter campaign to print DREAMER, the fourth and final book of Snout’s search for the legacy of Dominic Deegan, reached its funding goal over the weekend!
I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll say it again: this campaign had me extra nervous, both because of how strange and different Snout’s journey was and that I was running the campaign without the Oracle for Hire volumes as rewards. Snout’s both wordless and text-heavy dreamquest was certainly not for everyone, and I was worried that without the Oracle for Hire years to buoy it, the campaign wouldn’t be successful.
But as of this writing, the funding goal has been met. To say that I am grateful and relieved is an understatement.
It’s also a sign that you fine folks are willing to come along with me with stories that are strange and different, and not just want “more of the same but new” as is the curse with so many creative efforts. It tells me that you trust me with trying new things, exploring stories out of my comfort zone, and are willing to stick around while I experiment with different styles and approaches to comics as a medium for storytelling. I don’t think I will ever be able to express my gratitude enough.
However, the campaign isn’t over yet! With about a week left there’s still time to score bundle discounts of the books and get custom art! I tend to open commissions only for these crowdfunding events, so if there’s anything you ever wanted me to draw for you, now’s the time to pledge and get some unique art from yours truly!
Thank you all so very much, from the bottom of my heart, for everything.
