The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

In case you missed the announcement on Monday (and I hope you didn’t, because it was plastered all over the front page) I’m having a HOLIDAY SALE! I spoke last week about how this time of year turns small businesses and independent creators like yours truly into walking commercials, and that time has come. So bear with me while I do my holiday thing.

I’m running a sale on Snout’s books! For the first time I’ve put the Legacy book deal that’s only been available at conventions up in the Seer’s Catalog! There isn’t a sale on the individual books because I think they’re reasonably priced already, but taking 50% off the price of one book when you get all four together is, I think, a pretty sweet deal. I understand that Snout’s wordless and weird journey isn’t for everyone, but I’m very proud of it and I think it makes a great gift for someone you know who read the classic Oracle for Hire comics and isn’t aware that I’ve been back to this world since 2019! And I think they make a pretty neat gift for yourself, too.

More rarely than a bundled book deal is my offering of commissions! I normally only take these during crowdfunding campaigns but this year I’m making them available for the holidays. At the very reasonable price of $40 for a single character black-and-white custom picture, they make a great present for yourself or a loved one! Or a friend’s original character! Or your own! Or whatever you want! That’s the beauty of getting custom art! I’ve already got a decent queue to work on, for which I am very grateful, but I’m accepting requests until near the end of the month!

Being an independent creator is great and fun and I’m very fortunate to have been doing so for over two decades, but it also comes with the stress of having to make sales during the holidays and adjust prices to be both competitive and alluring and all that other business stuff.

This is both the most wonderful and most stressful time of the year. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
