The butler did it.

Szark's trash-talk somehow ends up sounding like
he's talking dirty, though I suspect he's doing it on purpose.
Today is the last day to
send in your submissions for Fan Art Week! I don't leave for my vacation till the weekend, so you have all day to submit artwork if you need it.
Today is also the last day of the impromptu
summer no-shipping sale in the SEER'S CATALOG!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, have a nice weekend, and enjoy next week's
Fan Art Week!
Showing restraint.

It looks like Szark is going to have one of those rare moments where you get to do the right thing and get back at someone who's been tormenting you. At least, I hope he's going to do the right thing...
This Friday is the
deadline for submissions for
Fan Art Week, which will showcase five pieces while I'm on vacation during the first week of August.
For the remainder of this week,
pay no shipping in the SEER'S CATALOG on book orders! It's a "summer convention sale" since I won't be at Otakon this weekend!
I told you I was going to repeat myself.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
This week, in summary.

Dominic's "portrayal" of a Destroyer seems to be much more convincing this time, doesn't it?
This Friday is the deadline for
submissions for Fan Art Week, which will showcase five pieces while I'm on vacation during the first week of August.
For the remainder of this week, pay
no shipping in the
SEER'S CATALOG on book orders! It's a "summer convention sale" since I won't be at

And thus concludes our news for the week summary. I'll likely repeat myself again tomorrow.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
On the tragedy in Norway, conventions and vacations.

First of all, I want to extend my condolences and love to anyone and everyone affected by the terrible tragedy in Norway. It was a senseless act of violence, hate and intolerance that cut many innocent lives short. Our hearts go out to you.
This Friday is the deadline to
submit fan art for next week's
Fan Art Week. I'll be selecting five pieces to be featured on the front page while I'm on vacation next week, so be sure to get yours in by Friday for a chance to be showcased! Art relevant to this storyline and/or the characters involved is preferred but not necessary.
For the first time in many years I won't be at
Otakon this weekend. But those of you who usually wait to purchase books from me at that convention needn't worry, because I've
reduced the prices of all book collections in the SEER'S CATALOG as though I were there! For this week only, pay
no shipping on book orders (international orders pay reduced shipping)!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Open and clothed.

If this comic isn't ending with a cliffhanger, it's ending with a joke. And sometimes that joke is a pun. And sometimes that pun is a real groaner. I think we've got one of those today.
One week from today is the deadline to submit your artwork for the upcoming
Fan Art Week, in which five pieces will be showcased on the front page while I'm on my annual summer vacation during the first week of August. So
send in your submissions for a chance to be featured on the front page! Fan art featuring the current storyline and/or the characters involved in it are preferred, but if something "off-topic" really floors me I'll show it off anyway.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a nice weekend!
Insulting himself, too.

Yep. In calling Scarlatti a jerk for messing with Szark's head he basically insulted himself as well... since getting into people's heads is kinda what Dominic does. Although when he does it, he's usually trying to be helpful. Usually.
I haven't been to the comic book shop for three weeks now. I feel a little guilty, but with Flashpoint and Fear Itself crossing over into every title I read I just find myself caring so little about what happens next. And if a superhero comic can't capture that "I gotta know what happens next!" feeling in me, then I'm not spending my money on it.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
All the way under his skin.

Is Szark doing his best Inigo Montoya impression in the first panel of today's comic? All he'd have to say is, "Father... guide my sword!" and we'd know.
Keep those
submissions for Fan Art week coming! It will run for the first week of August while I'm away on vacation. The deadline for submissions is
Friday, July 29!
I should have a new convention added to my schedule in a few days. Keep an eye out to see where I'll be next!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Pieces of you.

I sometimes wish I had a crazy little chaos seer to keep me from shooting my mouth off. Sometimes I am quite good at censoring myself. Most times I am not so good at it.
Submissions are still being accepted for the upcoming fan art filler week! I'll be on vacation for the first week of August, like I am every year, and I want to showcase five pieces of art by you, the greatest readers in the world.
Send in your submissions for a chance to be featured on the front page!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
The price of power?

Is Dominic's theory about Celesto's gleeful bloodthirst correct? We'll find out soon enough!
I mentioned last week that I'll be taking my annual summer vacation during the first week of August, and that I need
five pieces of fan art to cover my absence. So
send me your submissions for a chance for your work to be featured here on the front page! Submissions relating to the characters in this current storyline are preferred, but if something is really impressive I'll show it anyway.
The submission deadline is
Friday, July 29.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Psycho(planar)-killer. Qu'est-ce que c'est?

Celesto seems a bit more "enthusiastic" than usual, doesn't he? Like maybe there's a reason he does so well on the psychoplanes?
It was strange to do a straightforward eight-panel comic for a second sight encounter again, but it was the only way I could deal with this much dialogue and not make the strip look cluttered. Oh well. Maybe next week these two won't be so chatty.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and have a nice weekend!
Celesto the Mimic.

I originally wanted today's comic to have more of an out-of-panel feel to it, like some of the other scrying strips have had lately, but in the end the good old eight-panel layout was the only way to work in that much talking. Celesto was feeling wordy today. Plus, I got to draw a lot of shattered panel debris, which I always enjoy.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot of news to report and that's fine by me. No news is good news, I say.
Yesterday's news post has all the relevant information about my upcoming vacation, my need for five pieces of filler, and my lack of attendance at Otakon this year.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
All the king's horses and all the king's men...

With my summer conventions all over, the only "event" I have left is my annual summer vacation with Alyssa and her family.
I'll be gone throughout the first week of August, so I'm going to need guest art to fill up the week I'll be gone,
just like last year and
the year before that.
So put on your art caps and start thinking of pieces to submit, preferably involving the current storyline and/or any characters involved. I'll need five pieces altogether, and the submission deadline will likely be
Friday, July 29. This may change, but I'll keep you folks posted.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Bits and pieces.

It looks like Dominic was able to make use of Heliner's display of "swordsmanship" after all.
ConnectiCon was incredible. Due to some communication flubs I (as well as many of my fellow webcomickers in attendance) wasn't scheduled to do any of my usual panels, but I was still the MC for the Cosplay Death Match. What an incredible rush that was.
Thanks again to everyone who stopped by and said "hi." It's always nice to meet you guys face-to-face and I can't wait to do it again.
Speaking of which, while I won't be attending
Otakon this year I will be attending a startup convention dedicated to webcomics called, appropriately,
Webcomics Con. Click the link in my convention schedule and check it out!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
ConnectiCon ahoy!

I'm at
CONNECTICON this weekend!
Stop by and see me! Come to any of a number of panels I'll be doing, or see me host the
Cosplay Death Match on Saturday! Or do all of those things! I'll be in a fantastic mood regardless, as this is my favorite convention ever.
There will likely be filler of some kind on Monday.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, geek out, and see you at
CONNECTICON!
Swing and a miss!

Today's strip makes me giggle more than it probably should. I think it's Celesto's look of outrage in the last bit of Heliner's sloppy bit of sword-scrying.
I'm leaving for
CONNECTICON tonight, but Friday's comic will be going up normally.
There will, however, be filler for Monday, either in the form of some guest art or a convention-related photograph from the weekend.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and I hope to see you at
CONNECTICON!
