Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire is nine years old today.
I think that's pretty awesome.
Thanks to all of you who have been along for the ride thus far! It's a real treat knowing I have some of the greatest readers in the world, and I couldn't do this without you.
And so, in celebration of this momentous weekend anniversary, I present you with some crummy filler. Ain't I classy?
That's all from me for now!
Rock on, and have a great weekend!
Cutting edge second sight!

Nine years ago tomorrow,
Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire made its humble debut on the internet. Nine years later, er, tomorrow, Dominic and company are still having adventures and I'm blessed enough to have the greatest readers in the world. I couldn't do this without all of you.
There will be a celebratory piece of "filler" up tomorrow in celebration of this nine-year milestone!
I'm also tickled at the idea that tomorrow is
"the end of the world" or whatever, and that's coinciding with Dominic's nine year birthday. But if the world doesn't end on Saturday, I'll see you all at the 2012 doomsday party.
That's all from me for now.
Have an arockalyptic weekend!
Swordington, I presume?

There was originally going to be a nod to the fabled "Sword of Omens" in today's strip, in regards to Szark's idea of sword scrying, but instead I put a tribute to my pal and archnemesis
Brian Clevinger from his
8-Bit Theatre days. See if you can spot it.
For those of you keeping track of this sort of thing, though I may be the only one who is, there's a tiny accomplishment that goes along with today's comic.
This is the
2500th strip of Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire.
I don't know why twenty-five hundred comics feels like a milestone worth announcing. The three thousand mark seems like a much more appropriate announcement, but 2500 just looks like a significant number to me.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Domaggedon?!

Don't forget that
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF can still be pre-ordered and there are
new t-shirts available through SHARK ROBOT! Hooray for the
SEER'S CATALOG!
I thought this was an interesting little news tidbit. Some religious groups around here are convinced that this Saturday, May 21 is Judgment Day. The Rapture. The beginning of The End. Whatever you want to call it. May 21 also happens to be the day Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire reaches its
ninth anniversary. Coincidence?
There may be a special update this Saturday to commemorate this apocalyptic anniversary. Keep an eye out... if we're all still alive!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
A message on the wind.

So it turns out I didn't have to go in for jury duty today after all. My group didn't get called in. Go me!
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF is still up for pre-order!
There are
new t-shirts available through SHARK ROBOT!
I've put a few colorful new pictures in
my deviantArt photo gallery!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
The jury's out.

It was the only item down here in the news box all last week, and I'm going to talk about it some more.
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF is available for pre-order! If you place your order before
May 31 you'll receive a signed sketch of Stunt & Bumper with your book!
Don't forget there are also
new t-shirts available through SHARK ROBOT! Weedles and underwater monsters galore!
And finally, there may or may not be a delay in the comic's updating this week. I have to report for jury duty tomorrow. I'll keep you folks posted as best as I can, but I'm not anticipating anything. Of course, those are famous last words.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
...that is the question!

I'm going to keep Monday's news post up until I have something besides what was mentioned there to talk about. Otherwise I'd just be repeating myself over the course of a week.
Work on
Two Thief or Not Two Thief continues at a good pace and I'll be taking pre-orders in about a week or so. My eyes are a little cross-eyed from page layout, but I'm happy with the rate that things are going.
In the meantime, check out the
new Dominic Deegan t-shirts available through SHARK ROBOT! There's an underwater advisory and some little furry creatures on the hop. I do hope you folks like them.
Back to work for me.
Rock on.
Bringing up the rear.

And so continues the weird trend of
Quilt's second sight peeping at Pam, whether her skirt is on or off.
Come back on Monday to see if there was a point to this, or if I was simply being asinine.
No pun intended.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Insert "bursting your bubble" joke here.

An alternate version of today's comic had Quilt resembling the bubble-obsessed fish from Finding Nemo.
Okay. It was never an alternate version. I just love that movie and that fish.
BUBBLES!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Tiiiiiiny bubblessssss!

Looks like Quilt finally found a use for that bubble pipe... besides sticking it in other people's mouths when he's made a dramatic "revelation."
Work continues on
Two Thief or Not Two Thief: Dominic Deegan Volume 6, so I should have enough pages laid out and ready to take online pre-orders by next month. If nothing goes wrong (
like it did last year) I should have the book ready for its convention debut at
AKON! So whether you're going to order online or buy it from me in person, it'll be coming out soon!
Finally, new comic books come out today, so be sure to check out
my Twitter feed to see what I think about what I'm reading. I'll try not to be too spoileriffic.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Sad-face and linky bonanza.

It's true.
Dominic has only encountered the Beast through scrying and projection.
For those of you who don't remember Gerald,
he's helped Quilt before.
Things sure are linky today, huh?
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Kawaii? Chibi? Take your pick.

Anime Boston was insane in all the right ways and it left me too exhausted to produce a comic for today. Thus, we have this insanely adorable piece that my fiancee Alyssa commissioned from
Annie Stoll, who is equally insanely adorable.
I've posted
mushy real-life relationship filler before and make no apologies for doing it again. Not because I'm trying to give you folks cavities from all the saccharine sweetness, but because Anime Boston really did drain my productivity... at least for one day.
The comic resumes tomorrow.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Dum dah dum dah dum! In-spec-tor Go-lem!

Whenever Quilt is in his detective gear I'm torn between referring to him as "Detective Quilt" or "Inspector Golem."
I'm at
ANIME BOSTON this weekend! You can find me in the Artist Alley alongside the equally curmudgeonly
Scott Wegener where, despite our hunched backs and scowls, we're actually going to be quite happy to see visitors! So come by and say "hi!"
I'll also be doing my
Writing Unique Heroes & Memorable Villains panel on Saturday, so be sure to get there before the room fills to capacity! It has in the past and, if attendance at
Anime Boston is anything like it has been in the past, it may do so again.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and see you at
ANIME BOSTON!
It's tome for a montage!

Still working on stuff before the insanity that is Anime Boston this weekend, and as a result I don't have very many interesting things to talk about down here in the news box.
Oh well.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
