Uncertainty.

It's been a little while since we've seen
"the Gray," and it looks like Dominic is also getting subjected to a bit of a cliffhanger. Chance made his choice. He simply chose not to announce it.
It's September already? Man. Well, that means that my impromptu summer sale in the
SEER'S CATALOG is over. I've suspended book orders until next week, as I'm leaving for a long Labor Day weekend tomorrow and there are some things I want to adjust before any more books are sold.
There may or may not be a comic on Monday, since it is a holiday here and I'll be traveling. If not, there will be crummy filler of some sort but there will also be a double-sized comic on Tuesday to make up for it.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Hitting the shelves again.

This is the first time Heliner's first name has been mentioned since this story began.
Also, for the first time in weeks I'll be heading to the comic shop. Not because I'm eager to see the first inklings of the already notorious "DC reboot," but because (as of this writing) the new
ATOMIC ROBO will hit the shelves.
While I'm there I'll likely browse through the superhero books I've stopped collecting, just to see what I've been missing. Though I'm admittedly not concerned about the outcomes of
Flashpoint or
Fear Itself, I do miss some of the team books I was reading (i.e. Thunderbolts and Avengers Academy), and Marvel's cosmic superhero stuff was a lot of fun. We shall see.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and geek out.
History repeating.

Big comic today. Today's strip needed to cover the necessary ground while still
mirroring a previous vision almost exactly. I tried fitting this in to eight panels with no luck. So, big comic today. I do hope you folks like it.
Otherwise, it's a slow news day. So I'll put up a couple of links to fill the space up.
Mastodon's new songs sound more like stripped-down rock and roll than heavy metal, and that's fine by me. Ther new album is (hopefully) going to kick major ass.
If you
signed up to play League of Legends via a referral from my account be sure to play until level 5! And if you're playing already, be sure to tell people who you refer to the game to do the same! That's when the referral rewards can be redeemed.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Come on, Irene.

For those who may have forgotten this little detail, Celesto did
use a fake name to trick the Masters family. As to Cyrus Morgan's connection to the Masters family, that is still a mystery... but probably not for long.
UPDATE: Ignore this next part of the news post. Nothing happened where I lived. It rained and was windy. The end.
This news post was written the day before hurricane Irene was scheduled to reach New England. I'm not sure if we'll lose power over the weekend or for how long it'll be out if we do, so tomorrow's comic
may be delayed.
Check my Twitter feed for the latest updates if you don't see a comic on Tuesday.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Black eyes and nosebleeds.

Today's comic begs a couple of questions, if you're the type to wonder about this sort of thing. Where is Celesto? And, judging by the blood on his shirt and on the floor, how long has he been trying to get that nosebleed under control?
If you live on the east coast of the US, like I do, you've probably heard about Hurricane Irene's impending arrival this weekend. I don't know how hard it's going to hit the New England area, which is where I live, so it
may affect the updating of the comic. I'll likely have Monday's strip done before the hurricane arrives, but if there are power outages in my area there may be delays. I'll keep folks posted as best I can over the weekend via
my Twitter feed.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a safe weekend!
Beasts all around.

Whew. Yesterday was a busy day. Lots of wedding stuff taken care of, so that feels nice. It's almost enough to make me remember that Dominic and Luna still have a wedding of their own to plan.
But then again, I don't have to deal with an imbalanced chaos oracle, a horror from the city-plane/engine of reality, and the country's most powerful political and magical figure all trying to ruin my day.
There are some nights, however, that I would gladly face them instead of the crappy neighbors who have effectively turned my apartment building into their new dorm. Grr.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Now it's your turn to have bleedy-face.

Whenever Dominic really exerts himself on the psychoplanes he usually ends up with a pounding headache and a bleeding face in the real world. Celesto, on the other hand, has had a relatively effortless time of making people explode and stirring up planar chaos.
I think it's nice to see the tables turned for once.
If you've sent me a friend request in
League of Legends and it seems like I haven't accepted it, it's because I simply can't. I've reached the 300-friend-limit and I'm incapable of adding anyone else. But if you'd like to give this fun, free game a try,
sign up via a referral from my account!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Domestication is metal.

This weekend I went to our wedding shower. You know you're getting older and more domestic when you get excited about a new set of kitchenware. But, in my defense, it was a set of really sharp and awesome knives.
And a ninja blender. Literally.
Thanks to all of you who signed up to
try League of Legends via a referral from me! I hope you're enjoying the game as much as I am. If not, at least wait until you get to level 5 to come to that conclusion. Otherwise my blatant addiction to referral rewards (i.e. free stuff) won't be fed.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Lots of new friends

If you look at yesterday's news post you'll notice that I had to take down the public posting of my summoner name for
League of Legends. I was expecting only a handful of people to take me up on the referral offer and friends listing... but within a day I've gotten over 250 friends and over 100 referrals! I tried to answer everyone's messages, get games in, and not seem like I was ignoring anyone, but despite my best intentions it was getting to be too much to keep up with. So, for now, I'll keep my summoner name to myself.
Feel free to
try League of Legends and tell them Mookie sent you! I may be keeping my summoner name to myself, but I'm still a referral rewards whore.
I've got some wedding-related stuff to deal with this weekend, so wish me luck!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and have a nice weekend!
I'm in a league of my own.

Today's news post has nothing to do with today's comic. It has to do with a new video game I've begun playing.
League of Legends.
I'm bad at strategy-type RPGs, and I'm pretty bad at this one, but it's strangely addictive and fun. Most of that comes from the personality of the "champions" you control. I spent more time than I care to admit just
browsing the list of characters. I've been playing as Rammus the Armordillo and everything from his gruff voice to his waddle/walk has me totally sold on him. I'm waiting for my opportunity to play Mordekaiser, if for no other reason than all his special abilities are named after metal songs.
The fact that it's totally free to play is a bonus, too.
So if you play
League of Legends already, feel free to add me to your friends list! My summoner name is "(I've been swamped with friend requests!)" and, if you can tolerate my inept ass, maybe we'll fight together! If you want to try the game for yourself,
you can tell them Mookie sent you! (That's a link that signs you up to play via a referral from my account. I'm a referral rewards whore.)
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and geek out!
The elegant truth.

Today's comic features two things Dominic hasn't done in quite a while.
In the first panel, Dominic breaks out some of his dance training.
All the Deegan brothers have a little bit of bard in them, after all.
The second is Dominic's old "see the truth" spell. This one hasn't shown up in quite a while, but it's significant when Dominic unleashes it. I think that's why it's been used so rarely. If it was just being thrown around all the time it'd lose its dramatic effectiveness. And it'd get old really fast.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
In his own mind, he's the best.

And so Dominic continues his psychoplanar transformations. If these keep up I could start an action figure line. Champion of Balance Dominic! Mighty Dominic! Black Magic Dominic! Destroyer Mask Dominic! And introducing new Swordsman Dominic!
It is almost impossible (for me) to come up with a sword design for something an oracle would wield without it looking like the freaking Sword of Omens. The hilt is the only place a crystal ball looks good, and once you put it there... you get something that looks like the Sword of Omens. Oh well.
Don't forget that the
summer sale continues in the SEER'S CATALOG until the end of August!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
AAAAAH! Lots of news!

Lots of news to report today!
First of all, the
Fan Art pages have finally been updated! New material includes a number of pieces I thought I'd lost when I switched computers a few months ago and the submissions that were sent to me for
Fan Art Week at the beginning of this month. Go and take a look-see at all the new artwork!
For those of you who missed the announcement on Friday, I've reopened the
SEER'S CATALOG and, due to the success of last month's impromptu summer sale, I've extended the sale for the rest of the summer! Pay no shipping on all book orders till the end of August!
Check the schedule to the right to see some new
Conventions I'll be attending! I'm excited to be a part of some new shows this year and to be returning to some favorites as well!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Update, reopening, and a sale.

The
Seer's Catalog has
reopened! And because of the success of the impromptu summer sale last month, I've decided to extend it for the rest of the summer!
Pay no shipping (international orders pay reduced shipping) on all book orders from now until the end of August!
The
Archive has also been updated. Every so often I forget to keep this vital page up-to-date, but that problem has been solved. At least until I forget to update it again and it gets difficult to navigate from story to story.
The
Fan Art pages will be updated on Monday, including the submissions that were not showcased for
Fan Art Week and a number of pieces that I thought I'd lost when I switched computers. So check back on Monday for some awesome art!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a great weekend!
Delayed reaction.

I meant to have the
Fan Art pages updated for today and the
Seer's Catalog reopened, but Alyssa and I had to run a number of wedding-related errands yesterday, which in turn delayed working on today's comic, which in turn further delayed those updates.
Those pages should be up tomorrow, and Monday at the very latest.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
