News
Brief but (mostly) important.

There was originally going to be dialogue in today's comic, but I think it works better without any.
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF is officially up for sale in the
SEER'S CATALOG.
This weekend I'll be returning to
PortCon Maine! I always have fun there so be sure to stop by and say "hi" if you're in the area!
Today's news is brief, but (I think) it's important.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Peeping into panels.

If you were to point out that Dominic was able to scry Celesto pretty easily in today's comic while the
whole point of his venture to Prontus was to find roundabout ways to find him via second sight because it's otherwise impossible to scry him... well, you'd be right to be suspicious of me. Don't worry. This will be addressed next week.
Otherwise it was a slow news week in the aftermath of
AKON, and that's fine by me.
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF will be up on sale next week.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a nice weekend!
More awesome folks.

I shamefully forgot to mention some people from
AKON. Here I correct my shameful mistake.
The following people are also awesome:
Jen!
Brion!
Shawn!
The Melna cosplayer!
And, of course, each and every person who came up to my table to say "hi!" Whether you were buying books, giving me cool stuff (like miniature crystal balls or maple candy), or simply wanting to meet me in person, it's all of you who make this whole webcomic thing so awesome and memorable.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
A list of awesome.

I was so jet-lagged and exhausted when I got home late last night from
AKON that I forgot to acknowledge some of the very cool people I got to hang out with over the course of the weekend.
The following people are all completely awesome:
Blair!
JoJo!
Crystal!
J. and Mel!
Jennie!
Phil and Kaja!
Gina!
If I've forgotten anyone, I'll be sure to mention them before the week is over.
And finally, it is my job as an older brother to embarrass the crap out of my little brother. It's his thirtieth birthday today, so happy birfday bro!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
I'm all AKON'ed out.

In years past I've had fellow AKON artist alley denizens help me with Monday's filler, but this year's convention was so crazy that I barely had time to ask anyone for filler doodles.
So, as I have often done in years past, I turn to my cats to provide you folks with filler material.
Dominic and company will return tomorrow.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Southbound.

I'm off to
AKON today!
All the
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF pre-orders are in the mail and on their way to everyone who so generously ordered!
Friday's comic will update normally, so there's only one day of crummy filler to look forward to next week! Yay!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and see you at
AKON!
Heroes. Villains. Stand-up.

I'm not only very happy to be returning to AKON this weekend, but also thrilled that I'll be doing my Writing Unique Heroes & Memorable Villains talk there again! My half lecture / half stand-up routine (or so I've been told) had to be held twice at AKON a few years ago to accommodate everyone who wanted to see the panel! Last year they upgraded me to a bigger panel room, so hopefully they'll put me back there again this year because doing that talk twice in one weekend is really exhausting.
I leave for Dallas tomorrow morning, but Friday's comic should be ready for its normal update. If not, then I apologize ahead of time for two days of crummy filler doodles instead of just one on Monday.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
The big show.

The big news is that I'll be returning to
AKON this weekend! This convention is a monster and I'm always happy to return to its monstrous embrace. Every year is memorable and I'm certain that this weekend will be no different. So be sure to stop by and say "hi" if you're in the area. I'm sure I'll be in a tremendous mood.
There will likely be crummy filler up in place of a comic next Monday, as I'll be recovering from the monster weekend that is
AKON.
I'll have more information during the course of this week, as in where in the Artist Alley to find me and which panels I'll be doing!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
He may not be the most stable source of information.

I confess that I fell a little behind in sending out book orders that weren't
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF pre-orders during the month of May, but all those orders are now out and headed to the correct addresses. Sorry for the delay, everyone.
All pre-orders will be assembled and out next week before I leave for
AKON. The new book may be making its "official debut" at that convention, but folks who generously pre-ordered will have their copies in transit (and in most cases, in their hands) before that mammoth show.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a nice weekend!
The weather outside is... YIKES!

The weather was pretty nasty here in Massachusetts yesterday. Tornadoes touched down and we were hit with pretty severe thunderstorms. I was able to get the comic (and this news post) up before any power outages could happen.
Mother Nature has been hitting all of us pretty hard lately, from Missouri to Japan.
Try to stay safe if you can, everyone.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
We've all had thoughts like that. Kinda.

I think all of us nerds have, at some point or another, had a moment like this in our minds... whether or not your moment had angel wings, divine lightning and a broadsword.
Thanks to all of you who pre-ordered
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF. The books arrived yesterday and they look great. I'm going to wait to put them back on sale until after
AKON. Not only does that give me the opportunity to send out all the pre-orders, I get to "officially debut" the book at that convention, as has been a tradition since
ECSTASY & EVIL was first printed.
As always, I couldn't do any of this without your continued love and support. You folks make me feel like I have angel wings and a broadsword capable of calling down heavenly lightning. Ka-boom!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
He's annoying when he does that, huh?

Geez, is it the end of May already?
That means today is the last day to
pre-order your copy of TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF and receive a signed sketch of
Stunt & Bumper with your order! Afterward the book will just be up for regular order, and the best way to get a sketch of those two from me would be to come see me at a convention... which, I think, is also a nice option.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Splattery sword-scrying.

I was tempted to follow
my cat's advice again, like last year, but I decided against it.
Instead, here's a horrible vision of a student violently expelling the body of an interdimensional horror.
Happy Memorial Day.
Can you hear me now?

This bit of sword-scrying was fun to lay out.
Tuesday is the last day to pre-order
TWO THIEF OR NOT TWO THIEF, so if you want your signed sketch of Stunt & Bumper don't wait to place your order!
Other than that, there's no new news to report. So I'll wish you folks a nice weekend and see you back here on Monday.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and have a nice weekend!
SWISH!

Between Luna & Quilt's "crystal bubbles" and Dominic & Szark's "sword scrying" I'm having a lot of fun drawing these new methods of second sight. I hope you folks are enjoying them, too, because over the course of this quest against the king there's going to be more of it.
I didn't
tweet about new comic books yesterday because, well, none of the current books I'm collecting are really striking me. I mean,
Deadpool (the one written by Daniel Way) is always entertaining and
War of the Green Lanterns has been a good interstellar brawl, but I didn't think anything was really worth getting super excited about. I'm starting to notice that trend with me and superhero comics in general. Maybe it's a sign of things to come? Or maybe it's just a slump in what's currently out there? Time will tell.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
