Dramatic reveals, albeit delayed!

Back during
The War in Hell I regrettably did not include a "goodbye" for Bulgak after
he was killed by Stonewater. Revealing it much later like this works better, I think, since we're seeing it for the first time along with Bulgak. Hellishly dramatic.
I've been going out in the cold to look at the planets with my new telescope, and as a result am feeling a bit under the weather. Thus, I'll keep the rest of this short and sweet.
The annual no-shipping sale is still going on in the
SEER'S CATALOG!
There are new shirts available to
order through SHARK ROBOT!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
More!

Now that the holiday season is upon us
(being the most neutral term for whatever you celebrate in December) I figured it's time once again to remind you folks that the annual holiday no-shipping sale is on in the
SEER'S CATALOG! All domestic orders pay no shipping and all international orders pay reduced shipping!
There are also even
more new t-shirt designs up for your approval, and they're
available through SHARK ROBOT! No incorporated photography this time, just old-fashioned drawings and text on t-shirts. I'm proud of these new designs and I hope you folks like them, too.
And finally,
rest in peace, Leslie Nielsen.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Two armies running at one another!

After Wednesday's depressing comic I wanted to leave you folks on a more exciting note for the holiday week. I think Karnak and Siegfried meeting (again) on an infernal battlefield will do, but as always, I'm biased on these things.
For those of you who are tired of the infernal fighting and darker tone of this story, not to worry. Things are wrapping up here soon and a much lighter tale is on the way to finish up the year.
I hope you folks stuffed yourself silly yesterday whether you were celebrating Thanksgiving or not.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and have a nice weekend!
Happy Tofurkey Day!

I think the crummy filler says it all.
Get it? Crummy filler? Cookies?
...
Yeah. I'm going to go eat these now.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Rock on and pig out!
Your lips are venomous poison...!

Remember that
drippy little demon who liked to
whisper words of poison into people's ears? If not, those links ought to help.
Between Azeroth shattering yesterday
(orc mages!) and the sky finally being clear enough to use my brand new telescope, it's a wonder there's a comic up for today!
Actually, that's an exaggeration. The server maintenance being extended for hours upon hours and the street light shining almost directly into my telescope didn't make for as big a distraction as I was anticipating. So, in truth, I had plenty of time to make a comic for today, even if it is a sad one right before a major holiday.
Just a reminder that there will be filler tomorrow instead of a comic, since it's Thanksgiving. There will be an update on Friday as normal.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
The truth really, really hurts.

For those who may have forgotten that Buglak Adrak's brother, Adrak Bulgak, could take the pain of others onto himself,
here's a handy link to remind you that he could do it.
So as you can see, there is indeed a comic up today. I did not, in fact, spend all night looking at the stars. My sexy new telescope
(an Orion XT6 classic Dobsonian telescope) did indeed arrive yesterday, but there was no stargazing to be had. As luck would have it, the entire week is forecast to be cloudy and rainy. The Gods of Timing sure like to screw with me, it seems.
Speaking of timing, don't forget that I've started this year's holiday sale a little early in the
SEER'S CATALOG! For the next month all domestic orders will pay no shipping and international orders will pay reduced shipping!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
Sales, reopenings and the universe.

There's cool stuff to talk about today.
First of all, there's the big news in the
SEER'S CATALOG. Not only am I accepting orders for
The Storm of Souls with its brand new cover, but I've also begun this year's
Holiday Sale a little early! For the next month all domestic orders will pay
no shipping and international orders will pay
reduced shipping!
I've also reopened the
Fan Art pages! The more numerous pages of art have been separated into different pages and some characters now have their own pages. There is, as always, lots of great artwork by lots of talented folks to see and I am humbled to have it here on my little corner of the internet.
On a selfish note, I'm rather excited that my first telescope will be arriving today. If there's no comic tomorrow it's because I stayed up all night looking at the stars. Whee!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
The rocky road to Hell.

I'm quite happy with the rocky effect of Karnak's scrying in today's comic. I'm usually happy when I get to have rocks, or tentacles, or shards of dimensions, or whatever, creeping their way between the panels. I think it looks neat, but I'm biased.
The printer has informed me that, after tweaking the cover problems, The Storm of Souls ought to be printed next week. However, due to the Thanksgiving holiday and the delays in shipping it causes, they will likely not arrive until the beginning of December. You'll be able to place orders for the book next week, though. Just be aware there may be a slight delay in their arrival. Nothing major, but just something I felt should be mentioned.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, there will indeed be crummy filler on that day. Just a heads-up.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and have a nice weekend!
I don't want to live! I DO NOT WANT TO LIIIIVE!

Turns out there's a
small problem with the proof of the
Storm of Souls cover, but it's nothing that isn't easily remedied. With any luck the books will be back in stock by the end of the month at the latest, just in time for the holidays.
Experiments are tests. Sometimes those tests fail, and we must accept those failures with
quiet dignity and grace. That being said, it seems that t-shirts with incorporated photography were a failed experiment on my part, but a
mongrel heart still beats alive and well. The next batch of t-shirt designs (hopefully in time for the holidays as well) will have more artwork and less photos. Lesson learned.
Some cool comic books came out yesterday. Here's a quick list of my favorite reads:
Zatanna. Fun superhero magic.
Thunderbolts. Excellent team book.
Power Girl. Fun, classic superhero action.
Green Lantern. Cosmic and color-coded, like Voltron.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.

The talented and friendly Zack Finfrock
made a Doritos commercial for a major contest. It's funny and well done, so I want to help him spread the word so people can see how funny and well done it is. Check it out! Good luck, Zack!
I'm still waiting for a physical proof of the new cover for the
STORM OF SOULS to arrive from the printer, but in the meantime here's a tiny teaser of the new design.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!

Looks like Karnak and Siegfried are getting back into the swing of things this week. Wakka wakka.
It was a pleasantly slow weekend and, in lieu of anything relevant or interesting to talk about, I'll put you fine folks on to some music I've recently discovered.
Normally I recommend stuff I really enjoy, but these two bands I found (thanks to informative e-mails from some informative readers) didn't really do anything for me. I'm not saying this music is bad. It's just not for me. Still, it's unique enough that some of you fine folks may enjoy it.
In Legend features the drummer from
Van Canto and can only be described as "piano metal."
Arkona is a Russian pagan metal band featuring the pretty singing (and equally impressive growling) of Masha Scream, who I think has one of the coolest names in metal.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
Round 2! FIGHT!
November 12, 2010
Posted by Mookie
Oh yeah. Round two of this hellish brawl begins next week, and Karnak is armed with chains. The Dungeons & Dragons nerd in me will be enjoying making Karnak fight like a kyton. They were always my favorite of the D&D demons.
I should have a new Karnak themed
Donation Wallpaper up by next week as well. Keep an eye out for it!
Okay. I don't know how else to draw attention to this without seeming somewhat tacky, so I'm going to go for it anyway...
Nominations are up for the
2010 Webcomics List Awards and I think it'd be neat to get nominated in a category or two. Granted, only other webcomickers and print comics folks can nominate (and not for their own comics), and I submitted my nominations yesterday, but I don't know any subtle ways to spread the word about this. So here I am in the news box telling any fellow webcomickers reading that I think it'd be neat to be nominated in a category or two. Hint. Hint.
That's enough blatant self-promotion from me for now.
Rock on and have a nice weekend!
That sh*t-eating grin.

I don't normally pat myself on the back about, well, anything at all. I especially don't pat myself on the back artistically around here, but today is going to be an exception.
I am extremely pleased with the last panel in today's strip. Karnak's grin is just spot-on and conveys his wicked delight exactly the way I saw it in my mind's eye. I'm biased, of course, and I'm essentially patting myself on the back here, but I hope you find Karnak's evil amusement as entertaining as I do.
In other news,
The Storm of Souls will be back in stock in the
SEER'S CATALOG within the next few weeks! I'm just waiting to approve a proof of the new cover from the printer and then it'll be back!
That's all from me for now.
Rock on!
My valued readers.

I saw
Our Valued Customers linked in various places by various people yesterday so I felt the need to do the same, although I must admit my shame in not doing it sooner. It's real quotes spoken by (sadly) real people who come by the comic book shop where the creator works. Why do I feel bad for not linking this sooner? Because the comic book shop is around the corner from my apartment and I buy my weekly comics from him every Wednesday. As far as I know I haven't appeared in any updates. Yet.
Today is the last day to
pre-order new t-shirts from SHARK ROBOT! Actually, I'm not certain if today is the last day you can or if the time to pre-order is literally over today. I suppose if you click over to
Shark Robot and look you'll know one way or the other.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on and geek out.
Get over here!

Bulgak remembers that he did, in fact,
do that. In my mind he sounds just like Danger Mouse's sidekick, Penfold, in today's comic.
There's only one day left to
pre-order new t-shirts through SHARK ROBOT! Remember, designs stay in that store based on the strength of their pre-orders, so if you see something you like now's the time to order it! Otherwise it may not be around by the end of the week.
Finally, due to daylight savings and a weird glitch with the way the auto-updating program is coded, the comic's going to be updating at 2am EST instead of 3am EST. Earth shattering news, I know.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on.
